Chocolate Orange Cake
This Chocolate Orange Cake is deliciously moist and the perfect combination of chocolate and orange. Boone and I made this cake for our family Christmas Dinner, and it was a hit. The cake traveled well in the car. I decorated the cake with orange slices, and they helped the saran wrap stay out of the frosting for the car ride up. We also made the cakes the night before, saran-wrapped them, and put them in the fridge overnight. The chocolate orange cake was perfectly ready to be decorated the next morning and still kept its moist flavor.
I love making cakes because they are a quick and easy thing to make with your kiddos. You can have them help with a crumb coat for decoration, pop the cake in the fridge, and then finish your second coat of frosting. I finished the decorating on this on my own, as I was trying to get a great picture, but if your kiddos are older, they may love to decorate with you!
