Crockpot Pulled Pork Sandwiches

This crockpot pulled pork sandwich recipe is the perfect way to feed a crowd and is guaranteed to be raved over. The pork is deliciously seasoned and oh so tender!

Ingredients
  

  • 9-10 Lb Bone-In Pork Butt
  • 2-3 Tbsp Salt
  • 2-3 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2-3 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 2-3 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 2-3 Tbsp Paprika
  • 2-3 Tbsp Flat Iron Pepper Co Dark and Smoky BBQ Rub-Optional; leave this out for non-spicy pulled pork.
  • 1 12 oz Bottle Blue Moon Wheat Beer
  • Zest from 1 Large Naval Orange
  • 2-3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 White Onion-roughly chopped
  • Buns for Serving
  • BBQ Sauce for Serving

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and the Flat Iron Pepper Co dark and smoky BBQ rub.
  • Trim any excess fat off the pork butt.
  • Take half the mixed seasonings and rub on all sides of the pork butt until it is well coated, then place in the crockpot.
  • Pour the bottle of Blue Moon wheat beer into the crockpot.
  • Add the orange zest, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and chopped onion to the crock.
  • Cook on high for 7-8 Hours.
  • Once cooked, take out the pork and shred it, removing the bone.
  • You can leave the additional juice in the crockpot or pour some out. I usually pour about half the juice out and then leave the remainder to add flavor.
  • Add the shredded pork back into the crockpot and mix in the remaining seasoning until well combined. Serve on a bun.
