Ingredients

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and the Flat Iron Pepper Co dark and smoky BBQ rub.
  2. Trim any excess fat off the pork butt.
  3. Take half the mixed seasonings and rub on all sides of the pork butt until it is well coated, then place in the crockpot.
  4. Pour the bottle of Blue Moon wheat beer into the crockpot.
  5. Add the orange zest, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and chopped onion to the crock.
  6. Cook on high for 7-8 Hours.
  7. Once cooked, take out the pork and shred it, removing the bone.
  8. You can leave the additional juice in the crockpot or pour some out. I usually pour about half the juice out and then leave the remainder to add flavor.
  9. Add the shredded pork back into the crockpot and mix in the remaining seasoning until well combined. Serve on a bun.
  10. Enjoy!
