- In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and the Flat Iron Pepper Co dark and smoky BBQ rub.
- Trim any excess fat off the pork butt.
- Take half the mixed seasonings and rub on all sides of the pork butt until it is well coated, then place in the crockpot.
- Pour the bottle of Blue Moon wheat beer into the crockpot.
- Add the orange zest, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and chopped onion to the crock.
- Cook on high for 7-8 Hours.
- Once cooked, take out the pork and shred it, removing the bone.
- You can leave the additional juice in the crockpot or pour some out. I usually pour about half the juice out and then leave the remainder to add flavor.
- Add the shredded pork back into the crockpot and mix in the remaining seasoning until well combined. Serve on a bun.
